Description
We start your day with a morning pick-up from your hotel at 8:30 a.m., heading into the beautiful Sacred Valley. Our first stop is the small town of Corao, followed by a scenic drive along the Vilcanota River, where you’ll take in breathtaking views of the Pisac archaeological site. At Pisac, you’ll learn about local traditions and explore the vibrant culture of its people. From there, we continue to Urubamba for a delicious buffet lunch in a traditional restaurant.
In the afternoon, we visit the impressive fortress of Ollantaytambo, built by the Incas to guard the valley and maintain control of the region. As you walk through its stone streets and terraces, you’ll gain insight into its historical and strategic significance. On the return journey to Cusco, we make one last stop in the charming town of Chinchero. Here, you’ll admire a well-preserved Inca wall in the main square and visit a colonial church built atop ancient Inca foundations. We return to Cusco by approximately 6:30 p.m., ending a day rich in history, culture, and unforgettable landscapes.
After breakfast at your hotel, we’ll pick you up at 8:30 a.m. to begin your full-day journey through the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Our first stop is Corao, followed by a scenic drive along the Vilcanota River, where you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the ancient Inca site of Pisac. Here, you’ll explore traditional customs of the local population. We then continue to Urubamba, where you’ll enjoy a buffet lunch at a local tourist restaurant.
In the afternoon, we head to the remarkable Ollantaytambo archaeological park, a former military, religious, and agricultural hub built to guard the valley. Walk through its stone-paved streets and discover how the Incas once lived and defended their territory. On our way back to Cusco, we’ll stop in Chinchero, home to the remains of the royal estate of Túpac Inca Yupanqui. You’ll visit the Inca wall at the main square and admire a beautiful colonial temple built on Inca foundations, decorated with stunning frescoes. We return to Cusco around 6:30 p.m.
