Description

Upon arriving in Cusco, you’ll be warmly greeted at the airport and transferred to your chosen hotel, where you’ll receive a traditional coca tea to help you adjust to the altitude. After some time to rest, you’ll set off on a fascinating afternoon tour. You’ll explore the impressive Koricancha Temple, the majestic Cathedral, and several significant Inca archaeological sites, including Sacsayhuamán, Qenqo, Puka Pukara, and Tambomachay. The following day, embark on a journey through the Sacred Valley, starting with the ancient ruins of Pisac. After a delicious lunch in Urubamba, you’ll visit the historic Ollantaytambo Fortress and the charming village of Chinchero, known for its well-preserved Inca structures and colonial church.

On Day 3, you’ll rise early for a scenic train and bus ride to Machu Picchu. There, a knowledgeable guide will lead you through the incredible ruins, visiting key landmarks like the Main Plaza, Temple of the Three Windows, and Intihuatana. You’ll also have time to explore the site on your own or opt to hike up to Huayna Picchu (with advance booking). In the afternoon, you’ll travel back to Cusco by train and return to your hotel. Finally, on Day 4, your adventure will come to a close with a transfer to the airport, leaving you with unforgettable memories of Peru’s rich culture, history, and stunning landscapes.

Upon your arrival at Cusco Airport, we will be waiting for you with a sign bearing your name to give you a warm welcome. Then, we will transfer you to the selected hotel, where you will be offered an aromatic coca tea to help you acclimate to the altitude.

After a brief rest, we will begin the city tour in the afternoon at 1:30 p.m., ending around 6:30 p.m. We will visit:

  • Temple of Koricancha and Convent of Santo Domingo: A religious center known as the “Temple of the Sun,” featuring impressive Inca engineering.
  • Cusco Cathedral: A colonial monument of great artistic and religious value.
  • Sacsayhuamán: Located 2 km from the city, this is an impressive construction with enormous stone blocks and is the site of the Inti Raymi festival.
  • Qenqo: A ceremonial center and astronomical observatory, 3 km from Cusco.
  • Puka Pukara: An ancient control post located 7 km from Cusco.
  • Tambomachay: A ceremonial center dedicated to the worship of water, located 8 km from the city.

After breakfast at the hotel, we will pick you up at 6:40 a.m. to take you to the train station in Poroy. The train journey to Aguas Calientes takes approximately 4 hours.

Upon arrival, our guide will be waiting for you to take a 25-minute bus ride to Machu Picchu. We will begin the guided tour of the Inca citadel, visiting the Main Square, the Temple of the Three Windows, the Intihuatana, the Sacred Rock, the Temple of the Condor, among other iconic sites.

The guided tour lasts approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes to 3 hours. Afterward, you will have free time to explore on your own or hike up to Huayna Picchu (advance reservation required). In the afternoon, return to Cusco by train and transfer to your hotel.

According to your flight schedule, we will transfer you from the hotel to the airport, concluding our services with many unforgettable memories of Peru.
