Our tour begins with pickup from your hotel at 8:45 AM, or you can opt for the afternoon excursion starting at 4:00 PM. Our private transport will take you to the main port or dock, where we will board a boat and set off toward the Uros Floating Islands. The navigation time is approximately 30 minutes.
This excursion allows us to visit one of Puno’s most important attractions: the Uros Floating Islands. This ancient Aymara-speaking community lives among the reeds (totora) and maintains traditional practices such as artisanal fishing, hunting wild birds, and collecting duck eggs. The men are skilled in building and navigating reed boats, while the women are expert weavers.
Our specialized guide will provide a general explanation about the daily life and customs of the Uros people. Finally, we will return to the city of Puno, arriving at approximately 12:00 PM.
